At Broadway, our Sunday School has a class for you! We offer Sunday School classes for all age and interest groups. It's a provocative concept that allows you to choose a class that fits your needs, your learning style. Whether you want a traditional bible study type class, or spirited discussion forum... Whether you're 20, or 120, we provide you with the opportunity for mature adult engagement. Come in to LEARN. Go out to LIVE!

Grounded Meets in: WR Allen Fellowship Hall Age: All Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Bible Based
|
Grounded is a Bible based Sunday school class where there you will find specific studies of the scriptures. We will begin our study of the book of Acts on February 1, 2009. There will be an information/ organizational meeting during SS on Sunday, January 25. We will be meeting in the fellowship hall near the coffee pot. If you wish to delve into the Word, come join us.

Iva Moore Meets in: Room 404 Age: 60+ Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Varies
|
This class of 60 year olds (and above) utilizes an assortment of materials such as the International Lessons Series, the Adult Bible Studies, et cetera. Classes usually include lively discussions in an effort to seek out God's truth. They periodically provide meals for a community Christian mission, donate funds to the Jubilee Project (a mission which assists impoverished individuals in Hancock County), participated in Memory Walk 2004, support Holston Home for Children, and provide for local community needs as well as those in the church.

Message Meets in: Room 502 Age: 20 and 30's Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Interactive

A young adult class that focuses on discussions of topics developed by class members. The class follows an interactive format with lots of member participation.

Parlor Meets in: Room 209 Age: 40 and 50 year olds Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Varies
|
This class of 40 and 50 year olds meets in the church Parlor. They study from a variety of materials which promotes discussions on a broad spectrum of social and ethical issues. Several parties are held throughout the year. This class hosts a church-wide luncheon near Valentine's day which allows them to provide funds for numerous community, church, and social programs.

Upper Room Meets in: Room 403 Age: 40+ Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Contemporary
|
A diverse group of folks who enjoy spirited discussions of faith-based contemporary issues. They have social gatherings at various locations during the year including a trip to Metcalf Bottoms for breakfast.
They also sponsor an annual silent auction to benefit the campership program at Camp Wesley Woods. They are involved in service projects including sending cards, collecting food at Thanksgiving and sponsoring different programs at Christmas. It is a small group who would like to extend an invitation to anyone of any age to join us on the fourth floor next to the Potpourri Class.

Wesley Fellowship Meets in: Room 405 Age: 60+ Average Attendance: 20 Curriculum: Bible study
|
Older adults that wish to pursue a more structured Bible study would find this class challenging and inspirational. There's a relaxed atmosphere with music, singing, and discussion-oriented lessons. Issues involving Grand-parenting and aging are also covered. Several social events are held throughout the year.

Young Adult Meets in: Room 506 Age: 20 to 30 year olds Average Attendance: 10 Curriculum: Bible study

This group of 20 to 30 year old young adults offers spirited discussions of the various biblical and topical studies engaged by the class. |
