“Are You Part Of The Chain?”
God wants us to be linked to His mission and power. God wants to change us for the better. Many people today have lost a zest for life. They give some lip service to religion, but they do not feel it’s transforming power. Jesus provides the energy of change and transformation. Why are we missing the chain of God’s love and grace?

Paul felt many persons lost the power of Jesus for their life and fell into a legalistic style of religion - religion that just meets requirements loses life and vitality. Paul warned against losing the power of Christ Jesus. Jesus wants to change you for the better.

Lent is a time for change. Lent is a time to feel the presence of God. We are challenged to get up, look up, and link up. Are you ready to give God your best and feel His power? We hope to see you Sunday.

                                                In Christ,

Teams have until February 24 to complete their assignments. If, after that date, you have not been contacted, call the church office if you would like to be included in the survey.

March Forth For Children
A workshop for adults working with children is planned for March 7 & 8. This event is sponsored by the Holston Conference Children’s Ministry Team and will be held at Cokesbury UMC, Knoxville.

The 2008 March Forth for Children Conference is not for the faint of heart. Serious subjects will be broached. Some may even make you feel uncomfortable, but the good news is that the slate of professional workshop leaders will give practical advice and tools to help with understanding children’s spirituality, recognizing facts and myths of poverty and ramping up your effort to keep children safe in their physical space and in cyberspace.

This conference is full of opportunities to strengthen your ministries to, with and by young people. Come prepared to learn and renew your spirit and commitment to growing faith-full children.
