“To Lift Our Voices In Praise”
The Bible is full of passages that reflect lifting praises to God in heart, soul, and voice. In today’s language vernacular we often hear or say, “Are you feeling it?” If you feel praise for God, how do you express it? Many people tell me that they “can’t carry a tune in a bucket.” Well you don’t have to be the greatest singer in the world. The Bible asks us to lift our voices in praise to God. Sunday we will celebrate a great day of United Methodist singing. We will see how hymns carry a powerful heartfelt message.

We will look at John Wesley’s Directions for Singing. These are almost humorous by today’s standards. Come and take part in a different worship experience. We will sing and listen as we experience the presence of God with one another. Come and be a blessing.

                                               In Christ,

A Word From The Library
We are grateful to all those who donate books to the library but sometimes we can’t tell if they are donated or just left in the library by mistake.

So, if you are giving books to the library, please either tell Judy about it or leave a note with or inside the books. We are hesitant to check books into the library unless we are sure that is the owner’s intention.

Four books were left recently:
    1. It’s Fun at Grandmother’s House
    2. Together with God - A Journey Through Grief
    3. Decider
    4. Miss Tizzy

Please call the church office or leave a note with them in the library.

Thank you again.
Lyn Guerdat

Enjoy the fellowship and a few hours away just for you! Teens 14 through adults of all ages are welcome to come. RSVP to Lori Wade at 984-3693 if you are planning on attending. There is no charge, but Lori would like to take up an offering to go to the church. Bring a sack lunch.

A Big Thank You
Ralph and I would like to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, donations, and support for our mission trip to Estonia. We specifically thank Square One for the bake sale, the children and supportive parents of VBS for their collection of dollars and pennies, and the church Administrative Board and the Council for their endorsement. You are a generous congregation. We hope to accomplish many things with help from the hand of God.

We will give your regards to the members of the Reekyla Methodist Church, who are our brothers in Christ. Please keep praying for our mission.

Blessings to all of you,
Gerri & Ralph Bradley

News From Parents Day Out
Our Parents Day Out program is gearing up for the fall. We will begin the fall session on July 30 and will enroll many new students into the program, which means there is a possibility that new families will discover BUMC also. Our annual family picnic will be on Thursday, August 30, at 6:00 p.m. at Springbrook Park. We will gather around the playground on picnic blankets for food, fun, and fellowship. Bring your picnic and blanket and come join us. We will also have our annual game of sticker tag.

During the month of September we will be asking our families for donations of paper plates and plastic spoons to help our program.

Drop by and see what we are up to!
