“Our
Best For Christ’s Church”
Paul observed Jesus’ relationship
with the church like a marriage. Christ loved the church so much that He
“gave Himself up to death” for her. If the church was this important to
Jesus, should we not give it our very best? What the heart is to our
body, the church should be to those who want to spread the message of
God’s love and saving grace in the world.
Sunday is Consecration Sunday when we make a commitment of giving for
the upcoming year. We pledge our financial giving as well as our
service, talents, and prayer support. We need to be realistic, but we
also need to realize what God expects us to tend and use in His service.
If you truly believe all that you are and have has come from God, then
what can we give back to God to use for the glory of His work and
kingdom?
Sunday we will observe the relationship between Jesus and the church. We
will be challenged to give of our best to God. What commitment will you
make? We hope you will be present to participate in this relational
service.
In Christ,
