“All
Saints”
Next Sunday, November 4, is a day in
which we remember those who have lived their lives in faithful obedience
to God’s guidance and direction. Our United Methodist Women will be
conducting the service as they have invited the Rev. Gaye King to preach
at both services. Our United Methodist Women have helped in many mission
projects over this past year. They are a true source of inspiration for
Broadway. They have answered God’s call to be faithful and obedient
disciples for Jesus Christ.
Come and be inspired by Rev. King’s message, and enjoy the leadership of
our United Methodist Women. Come and be blessed, as we remember those
who have gone on to “the church triumphant” during this past year. We
hope to see you at Broadway.
Blessings,

In Memory
We extend our sincere Christian love and sympathy to Edith King and
Scott King on the death of their sister, and aunt.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Emory and
Henry Choir and Trumpet Ensemble Concert a great success. The choir and
trumpets performed beautifully to the delight of everyone in the large
audience. The vocal duets added a light touch to the afternoon,
especially the “Meow” piece by Rossini.
Thank you to the Chancel Choir who joined the Emory and Henry Choir for
the last two selections. And to all the people who donated food for the
reception, a big delicious thank you. Thanks to Sandy Teffeteller and
Lana Parham for coordinating the reception. And thanks to those who
helped take up the love offering for the choir. We helped send
two-thirds of one student on their European tour this Spring.
Be sure to put April 27, 2008 on your calendar when the Tennessee
Wesleyan College Choir will join us for worship and a concert.

To Order Your Wrapping Paper The youth
are once again selling Innisbrook wrapping paper. Many of you are
familiar with this quality gift paper and other gifts. This year’s sale
is already underway, but in a new way. There will be several catalogs
and order forms in classrooms and outside the office. Simply fill out a
form and place it in the envelope with the catalog and leave it in the
classroom. You may also order “in person” on Sunday, November 18. The
youth will be set up in the narthex and the W. R. Allen Hall before and
after worship. You may place your order then.
Attention All Women
The Susanna Wesley Circle invites you to an
evening of food, fun, fellowship and pampering at the first “Princess in
Pajama’s” party. So often we are running around and taking care of
everyone else’s needs but our own. By not making time for ourselves we
can feel run-down, not cared for, or unworthy. Psalm 45:11 tells us,
“The king is enthralled with your beauty.” Christ sees us all as
beautiful and He wants us to feel good about ourselves. Come, renew your
spirits and take a little time to look at your inner beauty at this
“grown-up” sleep-over on Friday, November 16th-Saturday, November 17th.
We will begin our evening at 7:00 p.m. in the W. R. Allen Hall. We will
be having snacks all evening and plenty of time to get caught up on your
crafts, and then, we will be treated to special spa pampering. If you
can only come for part of the evening, that is okay too. Bring your
P.J.’s, an air mattress, sleeping bag, and any crafts, scrapbooking,
quilting, etc., that you would like to work on. “This evening is all
about YOU! The cost is $8.00 per person which includes snacks, breakfast
and a few surprises. This is open to women of all ages. Please RSVP to
Lori Wade, 984-3693, if you are planning on attending.
