Do you remember that first trip away from home? Perhaps it was a week at a relative's home, or better yet, a week at Summer Camp. After a few days, most of us begin to miss the comforts of home. Do you remember sending your child off to Kindergarten for the first time? Well sending that same child off to College is just as hard and for the college student, it won't be long before they too begin to miss the comforts of home. This ministry is designed to let our children know that "Broadway CARES" If your child will be in college this year (any level) we would like to continually fellowship with them by sending small gifts, or cards throughout the year. So often it is hard for these young adults to adjust to college life, especially for those who are far from home. We want to be a blessing for all of our college-aged students. We want them to know that Broadway loves them and continues to think and pray about them while they are away. Take a minute to complete the information form ►. Include the name of your student, their school mailing address, e-mail and birthday. If you would like to have further information, or would like to participate in this ministry, complete the "additional comments" section, or call Lori Wade directly at (865) 984-3693. |

HERE'S WHAT SOME OF OUR COLLEGE MEMBERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE MINISTRY |
|
|
I am writing to thank you all for your love and support over the past
several years. It has been such a comfort for met to know that no matter
what I have going on, I can always rely on your prayers. I know that I
can always come home to Broadway. Amanda Heinrich |
I thought I’d stop by (electronically), say hello, and express how much
I appreciate getting the college ministry packages! First of all, it’s
not like we get much in the way of mail, anyway. And it’s always
comforting to receive a gift from people you love. It reminds you that
they’re thinking and caring about you even if you don’t get to talk to
them regularly. It’s a huge blessing to have that comfort. God has a way
of giving you what you need exactly when you need it, and I thank you
guys for letting him do that for the college folk. I love you all, Rose Spurrier |
